Gates lists a TR28454 for '41 Hudson 8.0

The 1953 Gates catalog lists the belt as #645. It sold back then for the princely sum of $2.70.0

Thanks Guys. Now if I could only pay the 1953 price!!0

I found the 10700 didn't fit on a job recently. The charging system had been upgraded to a 50 model, and the gen.pulley was a different size and made the standard belt not fit.I think Geoff Clark had mentioned in a post sometime back that made perfect sense. When going on a long trip, install the new belt, knowing the old one will fit as the spare. The spare belt in the trunk of this car would not fit either.:)0

The Gates fan belt for a '50 Hudson 8 is listed as a TR28423.
Gates lists the replacement for a 645 as a TR24438, but they state that it's not exact duplicate. Probably because the belt angle is 36 degrees. I believe the Hudson angle is 34 degrees.0 -
The belt for the Step-down won't be the correct belt either. The water pump is in a different location and makes the length totally different. It makes the belt it's own size when the pulley is a different size and used on the earlier cars.0
