Plan to pay an arm and a leg. I recently shipped a 308 with Twin-H to Allentown, Pa. The weight was 711 lbs, and the cost was $706.00.0

Give Dave Kostansek/Tim Cheney a call...ask how they do it. I know they build their own crates. :cool:0

308 short block from Baton Rouge, LA to Dallas, TX (450 miles) was $250. On our pallet. May be up with fuel cost. Can usually save a bit if you deliver to freight line. Walt0

If you are close to a large airport, BAX is by far, the best and most economical means to ship engines, wheels, and even large auto body parts. If you can ship from a business address, or bring it ready-to-ship directly to a BAX terminal, you are sitting good. They do NOT pick up from a residence address!
I've shipped truck wheels/tires, a hood, and two complete crated engines with them before. Easy, painless, and WAY cheaper than FedEx or UPS.
Another option is a shipper like Roadway, PAM, or similar.0
