1954 Coupe On E-Bay
This is the best deal I've seen on a driver condition Hornet coupe in a long, long time. A buy it now of $12,500. That's a steal in my book. Some mods made but looks solid if no surprises.

Well mine was supposed to be a decent driver and some of you who know me know how that turned out. Word to the wise. If you are interested in a car on the internet, make sure you can arrange to see the car. Even still there can be hidden gremlins. My engine turned out to be a perfect example when I tore it down.0

I'd be concerned about the sellers feedback score. I'd also want to see the car first and make sure. Agree it sounds very reasonable. If you checked the last WTN, I think there were only 2 coupes this time. a 51 super I think for about 20-21K and a hornet for around 50K?0

time for my nitpick. in his reply to the engine Q he states that his .030 overbore makes 318ci. im calling shenanigans, ive done the sums on my .060 overbore and that works out to 318.5ci. and please dont ask me to check over my calculations again...
on the other hand if i could find a car like that for $12,500 here id get it. (thats what i paid for mine and its far worse off)0 -
Maybe he did his calculation on a sliderule and its a rounding error....0

I just did my engine with a .060 overbore and I came out to 318 also.0 -
The coupe was unsold on ebay at $9100, did not meet reserve.
After ebay it was advertised locally, Gerrardstown WV, and has apparently sold for $12500. A good deal for the buyer if it is a solid car.0 -
I know the guy that bought it. He had it at our Xmas party last Sunday. The car isn't perfect but it is a GREAT driver for the money. It has a mild cam in it also. Sounded nice and runs real nice. It was a good deal for the money in my opinion.....................0
