Overseas Stepdown Owner needs assistance

Hi:

Finding parts for our Hudson Stepdowns in the US is usually a task requiring intensive actions to locate, negotiate and ship. Last week I was contacted by a fellow HETER (new) who purchased a 52 Hornet coupe and had it shipped from the US to POLAND. Yes, Poland. The previous owner de-chromed the car and removed bumper guards. Michael is nowfaced with the daunting task of finding these parts to replace his missing items. As one method of getting assistance, I suggested he join this BBS and present a list of needed items. In the mean time I am posting this thread in hopes some of you will have parts to bring this car back to the proper status.

Please note, Michael apparently has skills or access to skills to restore trim and needs usable parts. I have already told him that many of the 1952 and 1953 parts from other body styles will work on his car... i.e. fender trim, grill parts, tail lights and housings trim for the trunk, bumper guards. If you have sedan stainless that can be used... he could cut this down for the doors?

Hoping some of you can help this fellow out....

  • I have a complete grille from a 53 that is straight but needs rechroming, would it fit his car?

You ought to post this on the Street Rod section also- my chrome trim and bumper guards are long gone, but if I still had 'em, I'd be happy to send them across the pond.
