How to dtermine swapped engine year???
Okay, saiz I, on this beautiful day full of frozen rain and an occasional ice storm, mayhaps there is another Hudsonite stranded at home with the computer in the on position (that is when the moniter has sonething on it, for those of us that ain't really figgered it all ou)... that could inform a guniess, such as myself... just how to determine the year the 262 power dome six in my 47 Hudson PU?
Just for rainey day fun, what can I do to "hotrod" a 262? I have recieved a ridiculious offer on the 57 D-500 and just might have to let it roam to another part of this fair country.I know the truck has a 3sp od unit in it, and I have secured a 9" ford with a 373 gear. I have the Lincolin town car rear brakes for the front.
I have recieved a nice set of beautiful original hub caps from a friend of mine and I have discovered that the 15" beauty rings off of a 94 Astro van in the pasture fit great and look even better.
I also happen to have a 94 Ranger in the field that has a brown bench seat in it. I have a 76 Caddt with power windows, but I would not give up the commodore steering column unless I could adapt the tilt/tele column the 46 commodore wheel.
okay, for those of you stranded in the midwest by the weather... let er rip.
Hoopster, et 'al, etc and etc...

How can one make a comment when one is dreaming out loud? Dream on? Once had a friend trying to put a 396 in a VW. I commented--and, it only took him six weeks to drive over to the house with the job finished. All is possible to those who dream--once you make the decision?0

Late risers out here in the Great Southwest!
When I get some time, money, and a bit more motivation, I plan on putting a clifford header and a clifford 4bbl intake on the 262 in my '50 C6. From what I understand, the headers alone will really wake up that engine.
As for the year of the block, post the serial number stamped on the front, someone on here will be able to figure it out.0 -
I'll have to get out there gain. Will the twin H bolt on the 262?0

Twin H will go on the 262, no problem!0
