Hudsons on Ebay

Hello,

I just wanted to let you know that I have listed two Hudsons for sale on Ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=001&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&viewitem=&item=110206273952&rd=1

After reading several of your messages I see that some folks here are concerned about scam artists, can't say I blame you. I have 100% positive feedback and the listing is as clear and honest as I can make it. I also have 30 or so clear, supersized photos so you can see exactly what you'd be getting.

I hope I'm not breaking any rules here by posting this message. If I have, I apologize.

Thanks for your time.

I expect that the parts car is not shown? The one that is shown is a 51. The twin H setup is what should pace the price of this car. It is a tough restoration. Also, I expect that you will get some statements about the fact that the car does not have a frame under it.

The only rule you have broken is not visiting our site more often.
  • The parts car appears to be the one parked outdoors.
  • I am about an hour from these, if any one wants me to take a look let me know.

Thank you for your feedback. These cars are not mine, just listing them for a friend. Truth be told, I don't think he knows a whole lot about them either.

He told me that the 51 is the parts car...the one pictured outside...with no engine, tranny, etc. It has a title. The nicer of the two is inside and supposed to be a 52...no title but can provide original bill of sale.

As for not having a frame? I'll be the first to admit that I'm a gal who knows NOTHING about cars except they require gas on a regular basis :D

I'll be visiting the owner tomorrow...I apparently missed taking a picture of the front of the nicer car so I'd like to do that and also get pictures of the title and the bill of sale as well as get a shot of the interior of the parts car which will show all the "stuff" that's piled into it.

I REALLY appreciate everyone's replies. Maybe I'll actually learn something about these cars before it's all over ;)
  • The car inside is a 51 the car outside is a 52.
  • So, if you combine the parts from both, will you'll have a 51 1/2?
  • Heck With The Cars, I Will Take The Garage.
  • Hello again,

First of all, thanks for the replies. You guys were absolutely right about the years being mixed up on the cars. I went to see the owner and got him straightened out.

I also took my camera and actually laid on the floor to get some shots of the underside of the '51. I guess I didn't do too bad...although I have no idea of what's what under there. My hubby also looked under it and proclaimed that it's a unibody (?) I reckon you fellas know what that means.

As for the underside of the '52...I'm not crawling through a foot of snow for those pics! I did however get some good shots of the engine compartment which hopefully shows some of the frame.

The last thing I did was create a web page just for these cars that has ALL the photos in thumbnail form which can be clicked for SUPER size versions. I went back to Ebay and updated the information and included the link for the web page. Here's the link if you'd like to check it out.

I have to say that you guys seem to not only know your Hudsons but have a sense of humor as well.

    Thanks for your help.

    Robin
