Hudson needed for photo shoot

Hello!

I'm a photographer putting together a calendar for 2009 that will feature some classic cars and I'd like to include a Hudson from the 1930s or 1940s. If anyone is interested in having their car used in the calendar, please let me know. I don't have the time frame worked out yet, but of course it wouldn't be until at least springtime. Georgaphy is not an issue, I will travel if necessary.

Thank you!

  • Hi, I have a 1934 Hudson 8 Convertible that can be available for pictures. I'm located on the MA/NH boder if you'd like to have a look at the car. Fellow HET'ers that went to the Auburn HET National Meet may have seen it on display. Also, the car was shown at the Meadowbrook Concours d' Elegance this year.

I guess I'm just a suspicious old phart - but something doesn't look right here. If this is legit, and it probably is, why didn't the gentleman put his name on his post - or more details.

Posted: Fri Dec 21, 2007 2:16 pm Post subject: Police warn vintage car owners to beware of scammers!

Local police are warning of people perpetrating a scam by posing as photographers and using this guise to get access to vintage cars. When an owner agrees to meet them and show the car, they are overtaken and the car stolen.

An investigation began after some people reported having garages broken into after a visit from such "photographers." Police also advise that a reputable company interested in photgraphing your car will have a verifiable street address, telephone number, email and other business credentials. They will also require you to sign a release and offer compensation if they intend to profit from pictures of your property. So, don't be a fool and fall for this scam. If you feel compelled to arrange having your car photographed by a person unknown to you, do not invite them to your home, business of other place of car storage. Offer to meet them at the local police station, a car show or other public place where many people congregate. Oh, and keep your keys in your hand at all times.

    Stay safe.

I think this guy is legit. Check out his website. I found it under his public profile in the forum.

anyone can create a web site. Although I think that he is legit, I would still perhaps follow the advice offered above. Better to be safe than sorry....

BTW, if anyone is around the central PA area, that has a 51 pacemaker coupe, perhaps in black with twin H and a hydromatic, let me know, I want to shoot it for a calendar. Contact me, we'll meet up in some secluded area, to check out your ride.... hehehe.... :D

How many do you need to find? We saw two of them this year available and one is your avatar.

Alex, I think everyone should sign their posts, a new comer comes in here and no one knows who it is. I also notice that people who don't sign their posts are a lot braver about slamming someone. But I agree with you on this one. With the car theft market as big as it , especially with classic cars, I wouldn't contact someone who doesn't give out any information about who or what they represent.

  • Hello, I have a 38 Hudson Terraplane coupe, slightly modified which I would love to have included. If you want a photo, email me at fairmontw@fiber.net.

  • Guys, do offer up any information about yourselves or the location of your cars. Don't offer to meet the guy unless he has send you verifiable information. A web page is easy to set up to dupe unsuspecting victims. If he is legit he will have references and business information including phone numbers and addresses. Even with all that you can become a victim but it is more likely if you just go in blind. And don't go alone to any meeting
