The engine in my 46 pick-up has been identified (on this forum, thank you nick s) as a 232 from a '50 Pacemaker. I'm having trouble finding a rebuild kit for the dual-action fuel pump. Any sugestions?

Thanks and Happy New Year.

R/ Roger.

  • Look up fuel pump on the forum here, or let me make it easier for you...

You can go the stock route, and contact Dave Kostensak (spelling, help me someone) he sells rebuilt pumps, with core. I think the current price is around $100 with exchange, again correct me if I am wrong.

Or you can go down to your local Autozone, buy a fuel pump for an 83 AMC concorde, and it will bolt right on. Requires a little bit of fuel line modification, but several forum members on here are using it, myself included, problem free with a lifetime warranty, all for ~$20

An 83 AMC? Does it have a vacuum pump for the wipers?
