A hot rod project that didn't materialize...does not mention if he still has the original motor and transmission.

    This truck is well known to many of us in the Chesapeake Bay Chapter, as it was formerly owned by one of our elderly members, who created it by splicing a cab and bed (from a derelict Hudson truck) to a coupe. So it's far from authentic, but inasmuch as it has the longer coupe doors, it's really a 'stretch cab' with lots of room inside (there's even room to store the spare tire behind the seat). The bed is cut down (because the cab was extended. It needs a LOT of work (I think it was hand-painted) to be perfect, but might be a fun project.

    Since it's a frankentruck, who would care if it had the original eng/trans anyway, since the car is FAR from being original?
