Intro and parts search
Hello from Texas! A bit of a hudson afficionado, always looking for parts and cars and such, just an all around car nut. Have a 40 Hudson coupe which was the first vintage car that I ever bought myself, and probably will be with me til the day that I die, project stalled when parts became very scarce so hopefully can find some things on here to help jumpstart the project again. Have a stable full of vehicles wich include a daily driven 54 chevy custom, 60 Pontiac Catalina, 56 Chevy station-wagon gasser(project), 31 Phaeton, 31 Tudor, 28 farm truck, a 23 T and a 65 Impala to boot.
Parts that I need for the Hudson. Entire front runner (stock) A-arms upper and lower spindles drums etc. Need the steering column and steering components as well
Drivers side rear fender

I'd in the middle of doing a 40 Model 44 coupe. Straight Eight. Hope to drive it to Marleboro. I know where there are some A-frames etc. The steering components thru 47 will fit. I also discovered how to replace the upper shafts when worn.

These parts don't sound too awfully hard to find, if you look in the right places. Are you in the H-E-T, and have you tried Xeroxing a list of what you need and sending out a "barrage" of mails (and e-mails) to the various Hudson vendors who advertise in the WTN? (If you're not in the H-E-T you can find out more here: http://www.hudsonclub.org/ )
Of course, a lot of the parts you mention will interchange with earlier and/or later models. In fact, if you're more into "driving" than "show", you might want to incorporate some Hudson items from later model cars for safety reasons, such as larger brake drums, turn signals, etc. For example, later, large brake drums fit right into my '37 with no major surgery required. 1952 turnsignal switch looks like it was made for the car. These make the car easier to drive and much safer plus many can later be removed should you want to go back to "stock".0
