A '51 yellow red interior C8 Convertible just went for $82K at the BJ auction on the Speed Channel. A '47 Cad restored only went for $67K! The C8 supposedly was owned by a "60s HET President"?

  • The '08 B-J auction is coming up soon. I hate them!
  • Although the prices for nice Hudsons are still climbing, I think BJ prices are majorly inflated. Did anyone catch the 57 Cadillac convertible that went for an whopping$200,000.00? What was up with that car?
  • Wasn't that last years?? (Jan.)

BJ does get prices that are way above real world levels , but they do end up inflating the market , - look at the Mopar muscle cars , its said BJ dobled their prices !!!
  • I don't watch the B-J auctions on TV because in my opinion they are a farce. People with too much money, grossly inflating the price of cars that they only want as status symbols, or investments. The real auctions are the ones they do not show on TV and they are closer to the true value of the cars. They only show a very small % of the sales on TV.

I know that these auctions are a joke, reality TV type, but it sometimes is really fun to see some of these cars and hear about what is in them. For me it is pure entertainment.

I love 'em! Gorgeous, over-restored over-inflated cars, and gorgeous, over-restored and over-inflated girlfriends! You do kind of wonder where all those folks come up with all that MONEY for this stuff, though.
