Wheel cylinder Coni-Seal WC13600 40-54 Hudson Left side 15/16 in

    Coni-Seal WC13601 40-54 Hudson Right side 15/16 in

These should be available from your local parts guru for about $14 each. If you can't find them I have some other make numbers.
  • Josh he needs one inch cyls for a 46/47, not stepdown. I have the numbers t my office will post them tomorrow BILL ALBRIGHT
  • The wheel cylinders are the same for front and rear.

Here are the part numbers for the wheel cylinders, I bought mine at NAPA.

You may have to get different brake hoses for the front and use adapters on the rear lines to match the inlet sizes on the new cylinders

    40-54 Hudson LR 15/16 in

    Wheel cylinder

    Coni-Seal: WC13600

    Bendix: 33600

    Midas: 1024

    Wagner: 59240

    40-54 Hudson RR

    Wheel cylinder 15/16 in

    Coni-Seal: WC13601

    Bendix: 33601

    Midas: 1025

    Wagner: 59241

So here it is 5 years later, and I read this post and ordered the Coni-seal wheel cyls for my 47. They fit wonderfully. But I can't get the front brake lines to hook up -- the new fitting is too long and the angle wrong. So I come back to this post and read that I may have to buy new lines for the front. EXACTLY MY PROBLEM!

HELP! NAPA can't get it together on this one. Does anyone know the number for a new brake line to fit into the new wheel cyls? Essentially, I need to put a brake line directly into the wheel cyl (a 3/8" inverted conical fitting) because the adapter puts the shoulder of the brake line against the ball joint. ????? Any help/part numbers or other ideas?

Much appreciate it. I want to get this baby on the road!!!

If he puts in the bigger cylinders they will not line up with the brake shoes. The 40 to 47 have 1 3/4" shoes and the 48 to 54 long wheel base have 2 1/4" shoes. He will need the model 4C wheel cylinders. Why fool around, when you can order from the correct parts from NORM BLACKMER at 909-984-5544. Walt.

Dave Kostansek in Ohio has been our default supplier of these parts for ages. I can't figure how he wasn't mentioned in this discussion. Set of four correct cylinders for $84. (440) 293-4079.
  • Geoff - If you can find Wagner hose #F 79367 . It will hook up to your wheel cyls. and the other end to your 1/4" steel brake lines. Send me a PM. Maybe I can help you. Norm
