Well,it was just a matter of time,so it seems.I was talking to my Dad today and he was reading an article about a new trans.that Chrysler Corp.is having developed. It is being done by GETRAG corp.of N.America,Sterling Heights,Mi. It says that they will be using a dual wet clutch system, and you will have the fuel savings of a stick, but in an automatic transmission!!! Sounds like someone is adding new technology to an old design!! Could it be??:)

  • one way to find out, is to do a patent search, and see if they reference the hudson motor car company, in their patent.

The Chrysler Corporation owns all of the Hudson Motor Car Co.'s intellectual property.

    yup, tis true.

also, Chrysler would have to still reference the cork clutch patent, in terms of a design patent, I think. I see that a lot when I do patent research, that companies have to reference patents into the 30's for misc stuff, if it kind of gets "too similar" it's weird...
  • Automatic transmission clutches are wet just as those used in many motorcycles.

This will probably never materialize with Chrysler being on the verge of financial collapse.
