New -Wet-Clutch-transmission to be introduced!!
Well,it was just a matter of time,so it seems.I was talking to my Dad today and he was reading an article about a new trans.that Chrysler Corp.is having developed. It is being done by GETRAG corp.of N.America,Sterling Heights,Mi. It says that they will be using a dual wet clutch system, and you will have the fuel savings of a stick, but in an automatic transmission!!! Sounds like someone is adding new technology to an old design!! Could it be??:)

one way to find out, is to do a patent search, and see if they reference the hudson motor car company, in their patent.0

The Chrysler Corporation owns all of the Hudson Motor Car Co.'s intellectual property. :cool:0

yup, tis true.
also, Chrysler would have to still reference the cork clutch patent, in terms of a design patent, I think. I see that a lot when I do patent research, that companies have to reference patents into the 30's for misc stuff, if it kind of gets "too similar" it's weird...0 -
Automatic transmission clutches are wet just as those used in many motorcycles.

This will probably never materialize with Chrysler being on the verge of financial collapse.0
