Checking out the Hudson forum here, it must be winter and lots of us are sprucin' up the cars. I have the engine out of my '36 coupe, and before I get it back in I want to paint it the original colors.

Block?

Head?

Intake?

Exhaust?

Waterpump and water outlet?

Thanks guys...Yer the best!

PS--This ain't the first go-'round for this car. I have removed at least 3 and in some cases 4 colors of red, green, silver and black.;)

I'm gonna assume it's the same color as a '37 (someone will probably step in here and prove me wrong):

Silver: Block, head, manifolds, water outlet, water pump, water jacket:

Black: generator, starter, air silencer, distributor
  • Like Jon said. I've only seen two '36 cars under the hood, and that is what I remember them to be. My '37 TP is the same way.
  • How 'bout that boot that holds the sparkplug wires. Black?
  • Mine is black.

My original 36 is also silver/aluminum with black accessories.

I use Dupli-Color engine enamel from Auto Zone etc

It comes in 600 and 1200 degree versions.
  • I had an original untouched 37 back in 1952, colors were exactly as stated in previous posts
