Wo! Heads up on this '51 Ebay Hornet!
Either:
1) This is a scam
2) The car is hot
3) There is something profoundly wrong with this vehicle
or
4) The owner is completely ignorant of the going price of good Hudsons nowadays, and this is the buy of the century
What's your opinion?

We saw this car for sale a few weeks ago, Bill Albright thinks very highly of it and says it runs great. If I had $7000 available I would buy it in a heart beat. I think it is better than the average daily driver and I would like to see how that three carb set up works. To tell the truth I thought the car had already sold by now and I'm surprised to see it on ebay. Someones going to get a great deal.

What kind of error ? Price ?0

I think the Commodore (not Hornet) trim is holding down the price.0

Dont think its a scam , he isnt asking for a deposit , says he'll take cash payment at pick up within 7 days after auction ends0

Was on Craiglist for the same price.0

Jon, Your seeing something i dont. The car is still forsale if you talk to him. the price is to high i think?0

Price looks good to me. Of course, I'm about six grand short.0

464saloon and I live in the same town. Maybe we can check it out ? Do I need a stepdown at this time ? Maybe ????0

Perhaps the guy is a couple months behind on his mortgage and that's what he needs to get caught up. I think the price is reasonable.0

Sarah;
I think your correct. I wrote him with an offer of a partial trade and he answered and said he needs money. I think the price is fair. It doesn't look like he's trying to gouge anyone, just get his investment back.

I called him today, he said that the price is correct and he did say he bought it from Bill Albright. If it wasn't for having my '54 coupe worked on now and my '50 Comm. is ready to put the motor and trans back in the car. I would buy it ! Only need storage! Oh Yes ! Permission from: WIFE!0

Figure this is between a number three and a number four. What's the price then? anyone got OCPG handy, look the prices up...

I thought that was the same car I saw in Vegas last year being towed up by Bill Allbright's grandson, what are the chances of following: a.) Bill A. gandson trying to get to 15 south, made the turn one block too soon, b.) mechanic friend and I standing outside his shop (where my two Hornets were) and see young man towing Commodore c.) I get into my SUV follow and ask if the car on trailer was for sale d.) Bill A., grandson said he'd call and check with his grandfather e.) I guess Hudson's have a way of finding me?

Guys & gals...
Some have asked what the "price guides" give, as a value. There is a link to one of these price guides right at the top of this page. Just thought I'd mention it.
Sorry about the "Hornet" reference in the title of my thread. You know, to use "older Hudson" guys, these StepDowns all look alike, LOL!0
