'36 running boards

Hey All,

Here's a general question about the running boards on the '36 models (Hudson & Terraplane). Are the boards all one-piece from front to back, or were there models where the running boards were made in two pieces? I'm wondering because my truck currently has truncated running boards - sometime during its life it lost its rear fenders, and the section of running board behind the cab. Figured I'd ask now since my truck is starting to get the body work done and I've located a set of rear fenders for it (they're rough and useable only as patterns most likely, but it's better to have an actual pattern than a picture).

Thanks,

Mike

  • I think the running boards were one piece. Also i think you will be able to find 1936 fenders in good shape if you keep looking, they made quite a few 1936 cars so hopefully you will find some good fenders with out having to fabricate some which is costly.
  • For a 36 Terraplane pickup the running boards are one piece and bolt

directly to the front and rear fenders.
