1933 (?) Radiator Ornament For Sale

I spotted this over at the AACA forum. I don't know if this has already been posted here. It was posted on Jan. 24 so is fairly new.



"for sale, what I believe to be a 1933 Essex Gargoil grill shell mascot. It is in nice shape, looks to be replated, not real shinny though. The red essex medalion is included, but not attached. It will need some repair to attach it. Didn't want to mess with it for fear of damaging it. This is original stuff out of Tenn. Came with a bunch of parts included with a 33 essex super 6. All gone but this. I'm open to offers, don't know the worth. Have never seen another one for sale. Doug 330-478-5664"

    Jon, I tried the phone number and they said they don't have such an item. Are you sure the # is correct ?

    I just went over to the AACA website to re-check the phone number in the fellow's message (about selling the ornament) and found that the following had just been posted:



    "I believe someone called me on this part, My wife was confused and said we didn't have any orniments for sale. If you can, call me back and I will answer any questions you may have. Thank you and sorry for any misunderstang. Doug"
