Torque specs

There are no torque specs listed in my mechanical procedure manual i would say make them tight if they are half inch 90- 100 pounds of torque.0

Step-down and Jet service manuals specify "Rear Spring Clips" using 1/2"-20 U-bolts to torque down 70-80. These are the same as the '39 (including fronts).

Thanks Chuck!
It didn't require much torque to loosen those nuts after the jam nut was removed. I was a bit concerned because I'm replacing the old nuts with new grade 8 units.
My manual doesn't have any torque specs for it either. My Motors manual has some torque specs but I loaned out and it hasn't returned yet.
