Hello Everyone, I am parting a 1956 Hollywood Hardtop. I have a rust free hood, nice glass and lots of trim. I am parting the whole car. If anyone here has any needs just drop me a line at mcdermott6555@gmail.com. Also this car has the AMC V8 and hydramatic.

Could be a Hornet Special , which had the shorter wheelbase and 250 AMC v8. Could be ordered with Hydramatic. Came out later in 1956.
  • Hi Guys, It is a Hornet Special. It has the 250cid Rambler V8.
  • Hi Again , I forgot to mention this car also has nice glass and a very nice windshield.http://www.classiccar.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif

I remember hearing something about the 250 cid V-8 engine being a project that Kaiser was working on before they stopped production. Anyone know about that?
  • I read a similar story on an AMC website (I'll try to find the link) The story went that AMC hired the engineer that was developing the V-8 program for Kaiser that was canceled when they discontinued passenger car sales in the US. He supposedly picked up at AMC where he left off at Kaiser, which made for a quick development time.
  • Yep, that's the link to what I read. If Kaiser and Hudson had pooled resources to develope a V-8, it may have bought them more time in the market place.
