perforated metal used in dash
my 46 has perforated metal surrounding the radio in the center of the dash. the radio delete plated is made of the same stuff it appears. its 30 gage sheet with many tiny holes in it. does anyone know or or have scraps left over from there replacment job ? or maybe someone has some stainless thats the same thickness with the holes. . . maybe ? i found a sheet of it, 10 feet long for about 250 bucks. more than i am interested in spending. so the question goes out to you guys.
thanks in advance

G'day,
If you don't do any good over there, let me know and I'll send some across the creek for you. How much would you need.??

thanks much, this am the lad buffed the sheets with scotchbrite pads on a little grinder and clear coated them. not sure how it will look after it dries but certainly better than it started out. now im rebuilding the ignition switch and need to make a tiny rivet that holds the switch together. did one last night and it was a tad too long so when i tried to peen over the end, it bent the shaft and didn't peen. fun work but very time consuming. we're trying to get the car done for this summer but i think we still have way too much to do. the wood graining on the dash and dash panels came out EXCELLENT. i think the lad should go into the graining business part time. . .
i will post some pictures when its completely assembled.0
