Not exactly a Hudson article but an interesting one. Talks about the resurrection of the Detroit Electric company.

For those of you not up on early auto history... at the turn of the last century the industry had not actually really decided on gasoline engines to power autos. There was electric, steam, gas, I think even kerosene.

Electric cars were considered woman's cars because they didn't have to be hand cranked. Also the same problem with them then is the same problem with em now...batteries that charge fast, are powerful enough and have some range. They're finally working to improve the battery technology though.

Ironically gasoline solved an environmental problem...at the time they used to dump it in the rivers as a byproduct of refining kerosene before they had a use for it. there's nothing new under the sun as they say. Now we need to resurrect Hudson
