I can no longer find that thread but want to refer to it. Can someone more savvy help.

Don't know where that thread is, but didn't we come to the conclusion that this was either part of a barber chair or some farm implement?

I believe these are from the shoe department of the Hudson Department Stores. It is the foot rest they used for fitting new shoes to the customer. It is not related to the Hudson car other than by name alone.
