    1. Where are the photos?

    2. Where is the car located?
  • 3. What year/model/body style?

    4. What is the condition?

Your post leaves a lot to be desired. You need to provide this in your INITIAL post, and not leave people guessing.

Certainly the back window stainless trim (be careful taking it off) is a piece folks look for a lot, and any other stainless that is not too dented or mangled.

I'd bet someone would take car to rod or cut up for any useable parts.
  • hi, could you get some pics of the passengerside front fender, i'm wanting to look specifically at the lower piece of the front fender that holds the park light assembly. thanks Lisa G

Beneath the headlights and above the parking lights are "Driving" or "Fog" lights (it depends whether they have clear or amber lamps in them). These are quite bent up, but valuable enough that someone might want to try to massage them back into shape. I'd suggest that you pull them off, but I don't guarantee that you'll get rich off of them. There may be a smaller similar pair in the rear beneath the tail lights. These are back up lights (or reverse lights, depending on what part of the country you call home). If you try to take them off, soak them very well in penetrating oil for a couple of days first. they're fragile (thus valuable) little things! I think I see an antennae. If the knob assy inside is in good condition, someone would buy it from you. It's held in place by a small set screw (you'll need a very narrow blade screwdriver). Do you have any idea if this car has (or had) overdrive? Even if the eng/trans is missing, there may be valuable components (relay, kick down switch, wiring harness, etc) left behind. Dash gauges, clock, radio, hub caps, and on and on. What's any of it worth? "Whatever the traffic will bear" usually sums it up. That's why ebay (for all of it's hassles) is still great. You won't get the highest dollar possible, but you will get top buck in a fair sized segment of the market. Where (what state) is the car located?
  • If you part it out, I'd be interested in the passenger side windshield if it is not cracked and fogged.

They Say You Only Get What You Pay For ! The Outer Frame Is Shot It's A Parts Car For Sure

As For The Fog Lights Ken Amman Has Them New For $160 A Pair And There Great Why Would You Want To Play With These Ones When You Can Buy New!! Plateing Would Be More Than Kens Asking For His
  • sorry for the spacy text i did last night in kinda a hurry and assumed a lot of stuff. as far as the frame the only rust is in the picture. so wat about the motor head and alum intake and stuff is that just scrap or wat. thanks again for the help and putting up with the dumb questions.
  • A location where one could look it over for any parts they need would help. I need a few things. Sent you a PM
  • The car is definitely a '48 or '49
  • i was told it was a 49 so take that face value.
  • car is located at Sheridan, Wyoming

I am a dork - it's been so long since I've seen the window in back of my 49 I didn't see it!

I'd buy that rear window stainless if you can get it off without too much destruction!
  • I do believe there is an exhaust manifold for a stright six along with a head and two intakes one of which is aluminum. as far as the price i have no clue wat this stuff is worth so pm me with a fair offer. and ill know more after i get all the window trim and stuff off so i can see if i can get it all off with out messin it up.
