I went to see my 31 Essex today to see where the paint job was at, as this is the second time around, Iam happy to say that its going to look preaty good, I am waiting to get it back on the chassis but I have been told that I have to wait another 3 weeks so they can cut and polish her.

So I did the next best thing and went to see the guy (Steve Levin) who is going to put a mural on the old girl and he is saying that is a couple weeks away before it will be finished and then we will have to wait before that can be polished once I get some pics I will post some here.

waiting with antisapation

How long has it been in the paint shop? Did you have to have body work done beforehand?

Hi Sarah, the second time around, it went in in early January and was painted last week, these guys did just the straightening work ie blocking down the body to make her 1 off the straightest 31s around any where

If things go right with all the assembly and upolstery it should be finished within 3 months.David Young had a look at the car with the 1st paint job and was impressed, this time its alot better as the problem with Yellow is getting a even coat ,as it was painted in Deberes paint, with no chromate in the paint it left it with no guts and if you had any exta over spray or wrap around, it would change the color, not by much but as car fanatics its noticable to the trained eye

    thanks Mike
