Hudson Tattoos

I was wondering who has a Hudson tattoo and if you've got a pic of it to post here. I just found this first pic on an old thread ( http://www.classiccar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11316&highlight=tattoo ). My inspiration for this thread (and possible tat) is the second image. When I saw the pinstriped car, I could see the Jet in it with just a little finessing.

  • guys,

  • Strange as it might be...... I've had Hudson's for over thirty years, owned a tattoo shop for sixteen years, and don't have a Hudson tattoo myself! Guess I'll have to remedy that someday soon. It's just that the older I get, the more wrinkled the canvas becomes.... We've actually done a number of car related tattoo's over the years and I always thought they were good ideas for a tattoo as it really showed something about the person who wears it! You'd be amazed at the things that can be done now with the new inks, the tattoos have a painting like quality that wasn't available a few years ago. And to Sarah, Good luck with your tattoo idea, and always remember you're wearing it for life...... Aaron

On page 22 of the March/April issue of the WTN there's a photo of Burton Lee showing his tat. It's quite distinctive in the original picture. Unfortunately, the photo accompanies his obituary...
  • Nitroman,

thanks for posting this. tomorrow at 6:00pm the new one begins.

once it heals I'll post a picture of it or email it for someone to post it

    for me.

  • I'm just not that ate up about getting any kind of tat, much less a vehicle name or insignia. Nice ink, but that's definitely not my thing at all.
  • That's always been my problem, I've never seen anything I wanted permenantly etched on my body. 50 years of motorcycles never got me tatted up, lots of scars but no ink. I'm thinking I'll probably go out as an unpainted canvas. I was thinking about getting a Carter carb done on each but cheek with the twin H power inked on my lower back. Too be accurate though I would have to put Twin H power, single exhaust, runs on bio-fuel, but that's a lot of ink.

Since I work in a prison, if I never saw another tattoo in my life it would be okay with me...

  • Li Promised My Mother In 1953, When I Joined The Service That I Would Not Get Any Tatoos, And Have Kept That Promise All These Years, As Stated Am Too Wrinkled And Old To Do It Now, Now Matter How Much I Love My Hudsons, Bill Albright
  • Bill, You could get a single line on one of your wrinkles and tell everyone it is a convertible top in the down position and you don't feel like putting it up!
