In the Hot Rod Magazine July 1965, AND in Drag Racing Magazine April & May 1965 --- there are Good articles on Hudsons and The Hornet powered Jets. Also, "ol-racer" has verbage as to Why, their reighnnn of Terror and Records (Never beaten) ended in the last few years of the 1960's, (Check his Racing Picture Hudson Thread)

  • I'm glad you found your way here Ike. I've enjoyed your comments and cotributions to the drag racing related threads here a great deal.

I have the July '65 Hot Rod article scanned, it was sent to me in photocopy form in the mail by Ken Cates several years ago.

My love affair with Hudsons really started in college (late 80's) as I read archived Hot Rod and other racing related magazines, most of them dated around '65. Being an antique tractor puller at the time, I was awed that a flathead 6 cylinder was able to take it to the factory muscle cars of the era with success. Reading article about you and folks like you.

I'm still awed, moreso now that I own a couple of drivers and realize how great the total Hudson package is.
