bendix blues
can anybody tell me which starter number would have been on a 1953 262 with a 3 speed manual it keeps eating bendixes the flywheel was resurfaced and inspected by cluthguy a little over a month ago it still looks good last night put a part # 502 on it good for the first couple of starts but it is starting to "chunk noise" again this car is ahost of parts thrown together over the years any chance i have the wrong starter?

Starter on 254-262-308 engine is MCH 6109

Need starter #6019 I believe has less torque and will be much easier on the flywheel. Went down that road before.

i have a hudson cl 6006 with 502 bendix thanks for your help i will see if i can find the right starter0
