Spark plug wire

We've almost finished the entire re-wiring in my 1946 Commodore Coupe. I want to use the correct spark plug wire and coil to distributor wire? What was the original wire used for these items?
I used a Y and Z and the work has been reasonable easy. The instructions are very good. Never having used Rhode Island or Naragannsett, I cannot comment on how they compare with Y and Z but we've had very few issues with the Y and Z harness.
Thanks,
Jim Kilday
