36 Hudson hood question

I am putting back together my 36 H sedan and cannot find the brackets that mount the hood hinge to the firewall and front grille. I guess I did not take enough pictures during disassembly. I need some advice or pictures. Thanks, Jerry in wet Iowa.

    Jerry, there is a small bolt that slides into the chrome strip that holds the two parts of the hood together. It has a head that is shaped to fit into this strip. These are pretty easy to loose, and you can fashion one from a bolt if you file the head of it to slide into this piece. There is a similar one that attaches the hood to the "beak," the part in front of the radiator. I hope that this helps. I am not at home or I would go out to the garage and snap a picture of what I am talking about. The firewall piece is part of the car and it can't come off.
