New exhaust system

I'm going to put a new exhaust system in my '46 Coupe. Has Waldron's earned this Forum's Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval??
If not, then who has?
Thanks,
Jim Kilday

It seems like many people here have used Waldron's and were pleased.0

I have used Waldron exhaust and found it to easy to install and fit perfect. (FYI, Jay Leno uses them, also.)0

I have ordered two systems from Waldron's. The first one was for my '51 Hornet. I had to heat and bend the head pipe slightly. Other than that it was O.K. I then ordered one for a '29 Buick. NOTHING was right. I called and spoke with them to tell them that it must have been a mistake. He told me that "NO, That is the correct exhaust for that car". I gave hime the model number and the vin # of the car. I then sent him pictures of the exhaust system and the problems with it to show him that it was incorrect. When I called to see what we could do to resolve the issue, he made no mention of seeing the pictures that I sent him. He told me to send him the old pipe and he would make a new one. After I received his "new" pipe, I had to heat the daylights out of it to bend it correctly. If you want a nice exhaust system- go to a pipe bender and have him make your system. You can inspect it before you accept it. If you have a problem with any of Waldron's pipes, you had better get ready for the long haul. I recommended Waldron's to a friend and was left feeling like an idiot. It is your choice......0

Years ago "Talermade Exhaust" adveritsed in the WTN. The company still exists, it was a joint effort between HET'er Jim Fortin & Warren Gladbach. Jim passed away a few years ago, but Warren still makes exhaust systems on request. He has patterns for most all HET cars & many other makes also. I recently had him qoute me a price for a system on a 51 Hornet Cp. Camre to $185 for the pipes in aluminized pipe. He can supply mufflers also. Warrens phone # 781-447-5916. located in Hanson Mass.0

Thanks for all your input. There is a local shop that makes them from scratch and has an excellent reputation. I used them to boil out a heater core and think he will do a fine job. Cheaper than Waldron, too.
I have cold sweats thinking about dealing with pipes that don't fit when the vendor is 1500 miles away.
