6 volt alternator

What would be the best choice alternator amperage (35amp or 53amp) for a stepdown with the original 6 volt system? Thanks, Richie.

    Richie you want to get the higher amp altenator. The alternator will be used to power the accessories in your car with the battery acting as a reserve current storage. I am running the higher amp alternator with an Optima 6 volt battery in my car.

    How about a couple of nice pics of that installation.



    Where do we get the alternator, Model, How do we get it installed, how much, and above all how do we hook it up. Do we keep the regulator?

    We are staying with 6 volt. What do you mean accessories. Most of my accessories are just that. Just visual...they don't work.
