I used Automotive Paints Unlimited to paint my 28 Essex in 1987, and they matched the paint very well. They are in Roxboro North Carolina. I don't have the paint codes, but you could call them at 919-599-51550

I have the color lists showing what color and upholstery was used with what serial number block from Hudson serial number 400,000 to 790,399 and Essex serial number 100,000 to 610,276.
Example Essex Standard Sedan, serial numbers 500,001 to 511,668 -

I would personally go with German pain manufacturer Glasurit. They have the biggest classic and Vintage car paint catalog besides their line 51 has the same finish as the old day, but with new technology. Check it out. ( made by Basf)

Also check out Standox, another high quality paint. Its Dupont high end paint they also have a special classic automotive paint.
