I know it's not going anywhere until the biding goes higher than 15k0

I know the car and the owner.. Tom Rainford from IN. Was in the Chicago Milwaukee Chapter. I'd buy that car in a heartbeat if ever I was going to own a '54. But I really rather see him keep it and stay in the HET club. Nice guy, softspoken from the times I've chatted with him. That car gets up moves too!!! Was done up right. Great highway cruiser. Hope another HETer buys it.0

What is not to like about this car. I like this car ALOT. I hope he has it advertised elsewhere because e-bay doesn't always get you the money. IMHO worth a solid 35K if not more.0

Is that some type of gauge to the right of the ash tray ?0
-
Looks like an oil pressure gauge I wonder what the toggle switch under the radio does. I thinks its for the nitro boost....LOL... really nice car should go for 35K but will not reach that on eBay. Better to sell privately.0

It is every bit as nice as the one that went in the 80,000 range at the Astor Auction last week.0
-
Was the astor auction online ? do you have the linK would luv to see that 54 as well... thx0
-
Harry,
The Astor Hornet Coupe was a 53. It had a non- original pattern and color interior. Exterior color paint was also not correct. It reminded me of a 57 Ford Fairlane with Hudson lines......0 -
That car was for sale privately in one of the newsletters I think. No one wanted it. Anyways you can't get that much car nowadays for the money in anything NEW. haha It represents the most advanced in step-down Hudson technology.0

Hudsonites are notoriously cheap. They have been used to paying nothing for these cars. Buying these cars for nothing are long gone.0
-
Oh I dunno I managed to get a couple step-downs free and also very cheap. However you're right you can't really sell Hudson's to other diehards in the club at a high price.... also because the average HETer owns more than one already. If you want more money better to go on the open market and sell to people with more money than brains. LOL --- If you want the car to go to a good loving home sell to another Hudnut but don't expect top dollar. That does in fact happen, and also within my chapter some members have owned eachothers' cars a couple times already.0

SOLD $22,400.00 and not a bad price for this one.0 -
I think the buyer got a great deal.0

Yeah you can't get that much car for the price nowadays. I guess you didn't get it niels. Hope it's another club member....or will be. And a good home. Smokey isn't around to make more racecars like that.0

I was set in my mind to steal it and not to pay more than 21K. It took alot of will power not to click!0
