Durham Limo at the Nationals

Here are a few pics of the Durham Limo. It is my understanding that it is going to be auctioned at Auburn. Expected reserve price is $48,000. Also included a couple of other pics of some nice cars.

    Have to agree with Sam, can't imagine Ed buying it for the purpose of resale.

    I'm glad it's going to a good caring home. Ed seems to be assembling quite the collection of rare and wonderful Hudson's. I wonder if he's planning on going head to head with Hostetler's collection? hahaha

    Where do these rumors come from? I would doubt I would be interested in selling the car for 48,000 having just paid 66,000 but I guess I would get some tax relief on that kind of sale. To date I have 72,000 in the car. There is no way to hide what was paid at auction so I might as well put the facts out there.

    Seriously though it is a beautiful car and I am excited to own it. It is a great piece of history, and it deserves to be back in the HET family. It will no longer be tucked away in a museum or on a ship headed to some foreign country. Is it worth that kind of money? What price to preserve history? I am only the caretaker for a few more years, then someone else will have to decide if they want to step to the plate. Ed

    The next item you need to get is a tractor trailer to get ALL your great Hudson products to show at one time. Great collection. Ron

    Yes, and thank you so much for that!! If and when the time comes for a new caretaker, I'm sure we could find someone willing to fly the flag for the rest of us, (me included)!
