Insurance, insurance, insurance!

:eek:Just read in the local paper that a gentleman in Reno had a garage fire Sunday and lost two vintage cars. He had four cars in the garage, was able to save his twenties Chevy and a Mustang, but lost a '40 Ford and a '23 Franklin. The lost cars were only insured for $10,000 each which he said was not enough, as the two cars were valued at much more. I am writting this to remind all to make sure your prized Hudsons and whatever other cars or toys you have has adequat insurance. Unfortunatly tragedies do happen and it is not just to Fords and Chevies. Take care Arnie

Just a thought, If Arnie (I expect this is the gentleman that lost the cars) calls a bonded appraiser and provides the appraiser with detailed photos, reciepts for work completed and such, the appraiser might be able to help him recover some of the costs. I have worked with insurance companies on stolen collector cars and antique cars involved in major accidents. It might be worth a try.
