Brake Hose

Hi All Our 54 Hornet has the Bendix Treadlevac master cylinder and booster.

I tried to buy a new hose that goes from the master cylinder to the tee by

the left front wheel. But no luck. Does anyone in Hudsonland have any

ideas. Our car come from the USA aqnd needs a out of province safety

inxpection at the cost of over 250.00 dollars. Please help.

You should be looking for some one who can make you a new hose, many shops that do hoses or hydralics should be able to help you. Just remove the old hose complete bring it with you so they can get the right fittings, length, etc.. Given the age of your old hose the chances are that it has begun to collapse internally, been there done that. Lou Cote

Are you refering to the steel line or the flexible rubber hose with reinforcement and metal fitting at the ends? As a prior post stated, having a hose(flexible) made is fairly easy, I had one made this summer for $19. An auto parts house could order it for $17 but I would have to wait a couple of days. Thanks for the help. I tried the auto parts places and machinery dealers

also but they all said my ends were to small. I thought there might be someone that found a replacement that they used.I am sure that our

54 Hornet is not the only car left that is using a Bendix Treadle vac power

brakes. duncan

Duncan call up Edmonton Brake and Clutch they will make your hoses they made mine no problem. They also made new hoses for my oil filter. Just took in the old ones.
