1951 Hornet Convertible for sale

This is the car you see in my avatar. I got it from Bill Albright a couple of years ago. This car is a California car with no rust through that I can find. The rear subframes are good, the doors open and close as they should with no sag. The car had 1972 California plates on it and I found a 1956 California plate attached under the rear plate. The car is 99%+ complete. The brakes have been done and the fuel system has been cleaned with the tank being coated. The body on this car is extremely straight and has most of the original Jefferson green on it

The down side, it has a 1955 324 Oldsmobile engine and hydromatic installed some time in the late 50's or early 60's by all indications. The engine runs well and the hydro shifts as it should. I do have all the parts to put the car back in original condition though.

Asking price: $15,000

Also, I'm not on the internet except the weekends so I may be slow in returning pms or emails. Feel free to email me at: renoheldentenor@msn.com for any other information. I can take photos of anything you may want but the car is packed into the garage pretty tight. If you are serious about purchasing, I welcome inspection by you or any of the other HET members in my area. The vehicle is in Salt Lake City, UT

I think the olds engine takes away some top end value compared to a stock original, but it's still cool because the olds engine was installed so long ago - you'll still end up having a great investment with the olds engine and a fun car...I wish I could take it on  ;)
