Does anyone have a really nice mirror(s) like the one pictured they'd sell ?

I need four of them, two for my coupe, and two for my convert restoration project. If you have them, or know who does, please contact me at HETryan.ankney@gmail.com and I'll be right back to you (remove the HET).

Thanks,

Ryan

Paul, are your mirrors exactly like the ones in the picture I posted, or just "close" ?

Could you post a picture of them for us please ?

    Thanks,

    Hi Bill,

I already have a set you provided me wih awhile back, and will use them if need be, but as you mentioned, they are not "exactly" like the originals, so was hoping to find a "perfect" match somewhere. I'm well aware that I'm probably "whistling in the wind" on this one, but you never know -- somewhere out there there's gotta be a set on a dusty shelf still awaiting their day in the sun. I've got some time to find them before the car is ready for them, so we'll see what can be dug up with a little persistence.

    Thanks for the offer though,

An eBay seller who uses HOTRODPARTS as his name and is from Hilton NY recently procured several tractor trailer loads of NOS HUDSON stock. I would to to eBay find the fellas email... I do not have at this time, and send a copy of the same request you made here. Nothing ventured ... NADA gained.

    Good Luck

The closest to an exact reproduction of the mirror you pictured is available from Jay Fisher who exhibits at Hershey. Differences are bottom is cast brass and must be installed from inside door and top does not swivel. I purchased one from him to match the factory one i had on other side of my wife's 1952 Hornet convertible. I paid 235.00 for one about 5 years ago, but it is nice and does match factory mirror.

Mail order only. Manufacturer of sidemount mirrors, 1900-1970, inside mirror restoration, windwing brackets, radiator caps, mascots, small parts fabrication, leather straps, restoration of any mirrors. Catalog, $2 cash plus 55 SASE.

Dave was answered by email shortly after this post, and I have also contacted Mr. Fisher via telephone. He will send a picture to me via snail mail and I'll then know whether or not I have found the exact mirrors I was looking for.

If they are the right ones they're gonna be very, very pricey --- about 900 bucks for the pair if I'm lucky after the gov't, and the shippers get their piece of me.

If you are going to Fall Hershey, we will have our 52 convertible there and you will be able to see one factory mirror and one Jay Fisher mirror on the car. You can not tell difference. :)

Yep, that's the same one !! Looks like if you want "correct", that's the one the judges would give the thumbs up. Too bad they're so pricey though, but I accept very few compromises with my Hudsons, so I guess its "order up" !!

On a slightly different tack --- I'm still looking for a pair of NOS porkchops if anyone knows of any, and one single switch backing plate for the passenger door PWS.

Also a couple of pit-free or NOS fender rockets.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
