I also tried to get Perry Spring Jr to offer his metal working skills ... but no reply.
In the interest of offering alternate sources... I found the following web site that sells Hudson replacement floor panels for Stepdowns. I have no idea as to the quality or the fitness for purpose. But, it is a source and with a bit of assistance most of the TIN MEN will provide super facsimiles.

I just bought the set from Perry (Guy) Spring that would fit my '52. He's gearing up to make some more, I believe. I have all ready let him know of someone else who needs a set and I'm sure he'll make those, as well. He's here on the forum, and he will probably respond to this post. You can also contact him via the roster. His quality is unbeatable.0

Thanks Ken,
At $54.99 Vs $125.00 each side, that's a hard price to beat. I think I'll give them a shot. Thanks0 -
Hey Paul!! I didn't realize that you were that Paul from the National.:D I'm going to send you a PM by the way, what's this I hear about Pittsburgh?
I'd like to comment on a few things. If someone is trying to get a hold of me and can't? I don't know why, I'm on here every day or two, PM me. I'm also in the roster. By the way "Heart of Texas" I went and sent you a PM so we can talk. Maybe I can help you. As far as Ken Ammen still selling floors at the National, well, kind of. He had a few right sides only. No more lefts. As Paul said, I talked to Ken Ammen "before" I started offering floors. If he offered his again today I would stop making mine. He made great floor pans and I think one person offering 'original' type floor pans is plenty. I only started telling people that I do these because nobody else is making them. Their are some people making floor panels that are cheaper, if that's your concern. Mine are more for the guy who wants original floors. Two different markets in my eyes. I don't feel like we compete, you either just want to fill the hole and save a buck or you want it back as original as you can and your willing to spend a little more. ...Two different approaches to rebuilding a car, and I understand both points of view. Neither is right or wrong, just different.0 -
I ordered a set from Classic2Current and will let everyone know how they workout. Niels0
