1953 Mercury engine color

Can anyone tell me what the correct engine color is for a 1953 Mercury?? Asking for a friend. Right now the engine is yellow,been that when previous owner bought the car in 1958 or 59.



I have posted this on the Ford forum also. Thanks for any help you can give.

    I googled 3 restored '53 Mercs and they were all green.
