1952 Wasp on ebay
Don't bother bidding for it I called and the asking price is $17,900. Is it just me our is he out of his gord? Its not even a petty chevy 350. There is a 1954 Hornet on ebay now with a BIN of $10,500.

Paint sprayed over rotted weather stripping, funky interior, cracked steering wheel, no gas pedal, brake pedal cocked on angle, goofy trans gear shift indicator held on with a band clamp, rusty SBC...yeah, someone is out of their gord alright. The hype is way beyond "puffing." IMHO, the seller should jump on the current bid of $4,100.0 -
At that price, the dealer is simply shopping the car around and looking for a fool.0

the problem is, this car is not bad, but once you get it, to even fix all the stuff that needs to be addressed at the detail level, will likely leave you with a ton more work to address, on top of that, figure the chrome is decent, maybe the paint is decent, but how good can it be, when you look at items like the shift indicator, and the eatherstripping, you got to figure this is a driver at best, and to take it to the next level, you are going to spend almost as much as the thing cost you, might as well buy one done right, or do one from the start, so you know it is right.0

So true. Since the attention to detail is sorely lacking, I'd venture a guess that the mechanicals are probably not far off. This car needs a spa day (or year) with someone who knows what work is required and how to do it. If the seller is truely looking for over $17k, at least someone on a tight budget who really wants an affordable Hudson they can drive won't get taken.0

The dealer that is trying to sell it is known for just slapping a coat of paint on a car and then jacking the price way up. I offered a trade for my 1956 DeSoto Firedome but no deal. It was worth the try to get at least one lost Hudson back on the right road.
A friend of mine sold his 1963 lincoln conv to this yahoo. It wasnt long after we saw it on ebay with a huge price.0 -
Thanks for the heads up on this seller. I'd like to see pictures of how bad off this car was before the back alley paint job. Hopefully, the seller will come to his senses and someone in the club can scoop this car up for what it's really worth.0
