Hershey Dilemma...Was going to show my car.....

My 49 Comm Cnv Bro 8 is done and I was going to drive it to Hershey to show it for the first time at a major show. Today I went online to their website and found that you had to have registered by August 15th. Talk about a bummer..... I was really looking forward to showing it there.

Does anyone know if there is anyway to get in late???? ....Am desperate at this point. Really stupid of me not to have checked sooner, but all these years going there I never showed a car. Argh!

Any help would be appreciated. Perhaps there might be someone out there who might be canceling and I could see about swapping for their spot. Just a thought.

AACA is very tight about registrations for National Meets (which is Hershey). No late registrations. No excuses. And no tears. There's no crying allowed on that showfield...

I was in the same boat a couple years ago. When they move the show to the grass off the parking lot, they had less space, so I believe they moved the entry date up. I whined but to no avail. The idea of switching doesn't work well either, because each car has a number, and it is that number which is registered. So...the Deroit National will be a major show.

Sorry, Dennis. That's really too bad, the AACA doesn't know what it's missing with your car. Can't wait to see it myself.

    Dennis...

All the more reason for you to HOLD OUT for the best show to premier your PREMIER Hudson! AACA ratings aside the car is what it is ... the blood sweat and tears of a man smitten with the HUDSON BUG. Hope you will be able to bring the car out to the HET NATIONALS.

    Best to you from Texas.

If you're really intent on showing your car at Hershey you can do it. But not on the show field! We are always looking for great Hudsons to display at the Hudson club booth in the flea market! Think of it, you'll be able to drive right into the flea market area and park all day for not a penny! (Hurry, though, "slots" are filling up...)

Well...you can't blame me for trying...

    Dennis,

Now that the convert is done ~ what are you going to do with all your free time? :p

If you can't get to the meet - take the money you would have spent on the trip and go get some professional pictures taken of the car.

Just an idea - great job restoring the convert, it's been fun to watch!
