how to find old threads

Awhile back, we were discussing McCullough superchargers on 308's, and other similar mod's for the 308 engine.

I'd like to review some of these posts, but how the heck do I find them? I tried "McCullough supercharger" in the search box but only found three other threads about straight eight's, and Packards at that !

There were some really great projects depicted on there, and I'd like to see these pictures again.

Can anyone help me find them ?

Thanks,

Ryan

  • I think the thread you are talking about was by Mark Hudson and one of the Bennets. Maybe search by the names.

  • Ryan you should have searched your own posts you started one of the threads.

Yes, I remembered this thread, but that's not the one I was particularly looking for. It had some pictures of an engine being done I think it was in Las Vegas, or Nevada, or somewhere in the southwest anyway, and may not even have been a McCullough they were using.

Something about it being finished for a show coming up quickly ?

Maybe I'm way off the mark here, but I sure was impressed with the workmanship, (as I am with the setup in this thread), and wanted to review it a bit more specifically.

Wish I had saved it now, and sure will if I can find it again.

Yep --- that's the one Dan. Thank you !!

It's stored away where I can find it now!! Although I'm a bit of an archivist when it comes to Hudsons, I have always had a soft spot for certain hot rods, and this build really caught my interest, due to the owner retaining the Hudson engine.

Someday, I too hope to take a ride in this car, and get a feel for just what a Hudson engine can do given the right parts, and a knowledgeable builder.

For me, it'd be an "ultimate" ride.

Guess I better add that one to the "bucket list". :-)
