Can anyone tell me the difference between an R9B overdrive and an R10B overdrive. Is there any difference internally between the two.

What I can gather the R9B suits 1946-7 Hudson and the R10B suits1947-1949 Nash.

This number is stamped on the side of the O/D Unit.

Any help would be appreciated.

Les,if the rear trans case[Overdrive part] is bolted on with 5 bolts that go thru to the main case, like the 41-47 Hudson,it will have the same insides. If it is bolted on with only 4 bolts, the parts inside are mostly all different. I forget where I saw a chart of all the different B/W overdrive units??. I hope this helps.
