Hi all,

I brought my Hudson to the Burbank Road Kings car show this weekend held at the Santa Anita Racetrack in Arcadia, Cailf. After I had parked, all the way at one end of the show, I started walking around and found another Hudson. A 1941 Pick-up. There was space next to him so I moved mine to get two Hudson's together. There were over 300 cars there. We had a lot of comments about not only one Hudson but two, and pick-ups to boot!

Very unusual indeed to see two beautiful Hudson Trucks at the same Car Show.....

Head 'em up, get 'em out - That's the way to go. More important than ever to get these cars and trucks out with the 100th anniversary of the company coming up.

Lance! great showing of Hudson Pick ups. Is the owner of the '41 Hudson Pick Up in the H ET Club? I look at the web site http://www.socalcarculture.com/ "the Latest Show Picks" and seldom see any Hudsons. I think I have seen your Pick Up, also a gray pick up and the Big Kahuna's Sedan.

Hi VicTor, Thanks. Was great to have two there. I don't think he is but I will be talking to him later to see if he wants to join. I have posted pictures here before from other car shows so maybe thats where you have seen my truck before.

And Alex, I fully agree, 'head 'em up and get 'em out!'
  • A guy who works for me is a member of the Road Kings and was telling me about your pick up this morning.

He has been getting interested in the HET family since I got my Essex a couple months ago. Thought I'd let you know he thought your pick up was great.

Hi Bill, The engine compartment looked great, and it sounded nice when he was leaving. His was the 116" wheelbase model. He now lives in Rosemead, just minutes from me. The bed was done in zebra wood. He makes custom cabinets so he had contacts for the wood.

  • I know that with Lance and myself attending various car shows here in SoCal, that he and I will eventually end up at the same show sometime. Maybe then we can convince people that orange really is a "factory color" !

Hey Terry, love that idea! A lot of people ask if it was a 'factory color' anyway. Going to be at the Wings Wheels and Rotors show at Los Alamitos Airfield this weekend. Want to bring yours and park next to each other and see what kind of reaction we get?

Hey Lance....Jack told me you are going to be at the Los Alamitos show and I would be there but will be at the Parker 300 boat race with Jack. Its a close to home car show for me also so please take some pics and post them. Ron

Bellbigdawg, That's it, right down to the chipped oil filter decal on the air cleaner. Now I don't feel too bad about how mine looked next to his, having restored mine myself and not going to JV Enterprises like he did! The guy in the clip did the restoration. He's not the owner. You can see his banner over his head at one point.

Ron, Yes I'll be there and will take lot's of pic's. Jack told me that you guys will be at the races, each of you doing a 100 mile leg. Good luck and have fun!

I would love to, but have made plans to attend a show here in Riverside with the Old Farts Racing Team. Maybe we could meet up at John Force's cruise sometime. It would be cool to see your truck.
  • Assuming my tranny is done, I'll be at the John Force cruise tomorrow

Ron, have fun with the Old Farts, I keep telling myself I'm not one yet! And I would like to see your ride too. We will meet up sometime.

Neils, you have fun too. I would like to go to his meets sometime.
