46 hudson pickup

I bought a "46" truck out of Penn. 3 years ago. She was tired when we bought her and could barely accomplish 50 miles an hour on the hyway. Now she has a new Randy Mass built 308 Twin -H with overdrive with a Ford 9 inch rear at 275 in her that runs fantastic. It has new interior and a polished and touched up detailing to old paint. No need with three kids to put on new paint so that they and their bikes can scratch up a great paint job. My wife does not not fully understand but there is something very peaceful about getting in a Hudson pickup that is 60 years old and winding my way through the Ozark Mts. where we live.

My youngest son heard me on the phone tell my buddy who is a retired air force flyer that my truck has turned into a real "slut", fast, and easy with a lot of experience in that body of hers. When my wife got home my son told her that the truck was named "Hudsy the Slutsy". My wife was none to pleased to hear her innocent baby use those words, but after some fast explaination the name has stuck! What poor "Hudsy the Slutsy" is lacking is some bling on her front fenders. The boys and I have decided that she is in need of some more sparkle. So I am looking for a set of fender trim and the pieces for the lower door that come back of the fender trim. If any body can help the old girl look real good and has a set for sale please send me an e-mail at frmandrew@sbcglobal.net. Thanks Andy

Wives just don't seem to see the humor in some things - of course the next phone call, if not already received, will be from the local school screaming about the language from the kids. LOL ROF
