Guys,

The Studebaker guys here in Indiana have informed me that they are having the Orphan car drag race at Brown County Raceway on the 23rd of May 2009.

The track is located in Beenblossom, Indiana which is about 6 miles north of

Nashville on state road 135.

All Hudsons are also invited to show and any Orphan car as well.

Last year I had the ONLY Hudson to drag race there. One other fine 1950 Pacemaker showed up but we can do better than this!

Several fine Studebakers showed up and many were Supercharged R2 cars.

It was fun to flog my Hudson against these Studebakers as I did do very well

for a old Flathead six compeating aginst the V8's.

I will have the 50 PaceMaker there for the fun again next spring.

Once more information becomes available I will post it.

Hope to see some more Hudsons there,

PaceRacer50

  • Randy, good to hear you are going to try to make it.

Now we need to get Hudsonator to bring one of his.

Too bad Dany Spring is all the way out in California,

I would love to see his 41 match race your 41!

There will be several very quick Studebaker powered

pure-drag racers there. I know of two super-quick

Avanti tube chassis cars that are suppose to be there

    to put on a show.

look foward to seeing anybody with a HUDSON show up

    for this.

    thanks,

  • I will be there again rooting for Ralph.

The event is on Saturday the 23rd as the PacerRacer says with a rain date of Sunday the 24th. Of course it won't rain.

This event was GREAT fun in 2008.

    Hope to see others there.
