Will 36-37 Terraplne Kingpins Interchange

In a word, -"No". The kingp ins were substantially increased in size in '37, and remained the same right up unitl 1956, but the i.f.s. cars have the retainer groove in a different location. 1934-'36 used the narrower pins.

I changed the pins in my 37T about 1 year ago. You have to be very careful pulling them out. I used heat to get out the part that locks them in. Check/measure the distance from the top of the pin to the keyway to make sure you have the right pin. I had to use shims to reduce the verticle play. I believe only .005" is allowed. These king pin sets pop up on ebay occassionaly. The pins seem to be easier to find than the bushes. Ive seen bronze bushes used in the bottom eye as a replacement. Hope this is of help, Barry0

Diameter is .940 thou
Length 4 7/8"
Cotter pin slot 1 11/16" from top of pin.0 -
The kingpin diameter is .094 thou? I think there is a typo here.0

I think you are right, should be .940 thou
Just a simple mistake of putting the numbers in the wrong place.LOL0
