39 country club eight

Testing pic upload. This could be the last ride of the year; they started salting the roads last weekend... Just got this running, maybe put 30 miles on it this year. It's been many years since it was driven. It has completely new brake linings, master and wheel cylinders and lines and stops as well as it probably ever did. I don't plan on restoring it just yet...

I dont think I could restore a Hudson that survived that nicely... I would just preserve and enjoy its antique Character as a Treasure like a nice old piece of furniture you discovered in an Antique Store.

Everything I restored has been like or worse than Uncle Josh Hudson

Perhaps it has something to do with the two "salty" characters standing in front of it!:D

Ron, salting roads is what they do in the northern states to melt the ice off the roads. Unfortunately, it also "melts" the cars. They don't call it the rust belt for nothing. They sometimes mix salt (calcium chloride - tho some use sodium chloride) with sand and spread it with trucks. Or spread it straight.

If it lasts that long I probably added 10 years to the life of my Caddy by moving here to Memphis, even tho they use a salt slurry from spray trucks. They don't do it that often, tho, and since I really don't have to go out on icy road days, it won't affect my car.

Uncle Josh, if yours has any saveable floor in it, it is in better shape that my convertible is in. Perhaps, the joy here is if they ever make it back to the road?;)
